Starting to write HTML

Writing HTML is very simple, for this reason this post may be unnecessary but It could be useful for somebody who is not into computing.

HTML can be written on a website but It is easier to write offline at first. It means you’re going to need a HTML editor.

¿where is a HTML editor?

HTML can be written in any text editor, if you are using Windows find for your Notes bloc or the text editor on Linux.

¿You don’t have the text editor?

Don’t worry, you should have Microsoft Office or OpenOffice, in both cases you should have the Word. If you don’t have a Office, you can download OpenOffice here. OpenOffice is free and open source.

All is right, you have one on the mentioned options. Now open your text editor or Word and write something, now, click “save as..” and choose the name like this: docname.html You must write “.html” before the document name and save It.

At this point you must go to the document icon and click twice, It will open by a browser, It is due to .html. This extension “says” to your SO who kink of program should open your archive to read.

Ok, you can see your document in your browser, now click again your document icon with right key of your mouse, and choose “open with another program..”, choose a text editor, in this way you can change your document.

Now you know how see your document in HTML and how change It. This is all you need to start learning HTML.

I know this chapter is very simple, but there are people who need It.
